A Worcester man accused of human trafficking used drugs and fear to control women he forced to commit sex acts for money, according to federal documents.

Ronald Hall, 46, with Worcester and Woonsocket, Rhode Island addresses, is facing both federal and state human trafficking charges after authorities say he supplied women with drugs and even had his nickname tattooed on some of them, according to federal records.

Hall was indicted Wednesday in federal court on five counts of sex trafficking by force or coercion and one count of transportation of individuals to engage in prostitution. He remains in state custody after he was arraigned in August on similar charges.

Federal investigators accuse Hall, known by the moniker Riz, of trafficking five women between 2012 and 2019. He took them to Nevada, parts of Massachusetts, Florida, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island and forced the women to have sex for money, records said.

On Jan. 22, a woman was arrested driving a stolen car registered to Hall. The woman spoke to Massachusetts State Police and said, that she was being pimped by Hall and he had physically assaulted and raped her, federal records said.

The woman told investigators Hall kept her at a hotel in Natick where he gave her cocaine laced with fentanyl.

She said Hall beat her with an ice-scraper and smashed her head into the dashboard of his car, records said. The woman took Halls car to escape him.

Federal authorities began investigating Hall in February after receiving information from Massachusetts State Police about the Jan. 22 incident.

One woman told investigators she was the victim of another human trafficking investigation involving another man. She met Hall between 2013 and 2014 when she bought drugs from him, according to authorities.

Hall promised that woman and another woman drugs as he recruited them to work as prostitutes, records show.

Hall had several women living with him at one point and forced them to perform sex acts at a massage parlor in Rhode Island. The woman pulled over in January also told authorities she was forced to have sex for money in hotels, casinos and other locations.

Some women were taken to Las Vegas to perform sex acts, authorities said.

The women under Halls violent control were told to make $1,000 to $2,000 daily with all the money going to Hall, investigators said. Hall supplied the woman with drugs and were not allowed to have any other drugs other than what he supplied.

One woman told investigators that some of the girls working for Hall had tattoos that read, RIZ, with a crown above the word.

Investigators believe Hall used the tattoo to brand the women.

Hall allegedly mined the now defunct Backpage.com to find women and preyed on their drug addictions. Hall withheld drugs from the women as a form of punishment, records said.

Through their investigation, authorities were able to identify five women Hall trafficked, federal records said.
